About this dive site
A Pacific wall dive through coral-lined holes into open blue water.
Guam’s Blue Hole is a classic advanced route on the island’s west coast: divers descend a wall, pass through coral-framed openings and exit into deep blue water before ascending along the reef. Current and surge can be strong, so experience with walls and blue-water ascents is important. Whitetip reef sharks, turtles and large pelagic fish appear depending on conditions. Use a local operator for mooring and timing. Control ascent rate in blue water and stay off fragile coral in the cavern openings.
Wall and drift dives need a tide- or current-aware briefing; the same site can feel gentle or brisk on another day. Calendar peak is January - December, but skippers still move sites when wind, swell or current change. Book with a crew that knows Guam day to day, not just the map pin.
