About this dive site
Grey seals, kelp forests and protected rocky seabeds in the Bristol Channel.
Lundy’s marine protected area supports rich rocky habitats and a resident grey seal population. Dive boats choose sheltered bays, reefs or suitable wreck routes according to wind, tide and diver experience. Seals may approach voluntarily, but never chase, touch, feed or corner them; stay well away from haul-outs and pups. Some wrecks have additional protection, so check the chosen itinerary with the island team or a knowledgeable local operator.
Most trips target May - September, but wind, swell and current still decide the day's site. Calendar peak is May - September, but skippers still move sites when wind, swell or current change. Book with a crew that knows Lundy day to day, not just the map pin.
