About this dive site

Uncrowded Tanzanian walls and slopes in the Pemba Channel.

Pemba’s northwest reefs drop into the channel with walls, plateaus and fish biomass that feel untouched compared with Zanzibar day boats. Current splits site choice between sheltered slopes and faster drifts. Tides matter; local operators schedule dives around slack or planned flow.

Most trips target September - March, but wind, swell and current still decide the day's site. Calendar peak is September - March, but skippers still move sites when wind, swell or current change. Book with a crew that knows Pemba day to day, not just the map pin.
