About this dive site
Accessible southern Taiwan reef diving with hard corals and reef fish.
Houbihu on the Hengchun Peninsula is a popular entry point for Kenting National Park’s shore and boat dives. Hard corals, reef fish and occasional hawksbill turtles appear on rocky reef and sand patches. Visibility and surge change quickly with weather, so local operators choose sites daily. This is a busy recreational coast: stay with your guide, control buoyancy over fragile coral and follow park rules. Wildlife encounters are typical of a healthy subtropical reef rather than big-animal pelagic diving.
Shore sites reward repeat dives at the same entry marker; check swell, surf and exit points before you kit up. Calendar peak is April - November, but skippers still move sites when wind, swell or current change. Book with a crew that knows Kenting day to day, not just the map pin.
