About this dive site
Warm Agulhas coral reefs with variety from shallow to deep.
Sodwana’s parallel reef systems, Quarter Mile to Nine Mile, offer different depths, currents and fish life along KwaZulu-Natal’s coast. Hot Spots and deeper pinnacles attract larger predators when conditions allow. Multiple launch sites mean operators match the day’s swell and diver experience to the right reef.
Most trips target January - December, but wind, swell and current still decide the day's site. Calendar peak is January - December, but skippers still move sites when wind, swell or current change. Book with a crew that knows Sodwana Bay day to day, not just the map pin.
