About this dive site
Volcanic-ash preserved WWII wrecks north of Manila.
Subic Bay holds the USS New York, El Capitan, and other wrecks settled upright after Mount Pinatubo’s ashfall. Macro life and WWII history draw tech and recreational divers from Manila and Angeles-many dives are guided wreck penetrations on permitted routes.
Match wreck depth - and any penetration - to your training; many famous wrecks are enjoyed from the outside only. Calendar peak is November - May, but skippers still move sites when wind, swell or current change. Book with a crew that knows Subic Bay day to day, not just the map pin.
