Thresher sharks at dawn on an offshore cleaning shoal.
Kimud Shoal and Monad Shoal rise from deep water where pelagic thresher sharks ascend to cleaner wrasse before most resorts serve breakfast. Reef sharks, manta rays and macro life fill the rest of the day around Malapascua. The pin marks the island base, actual shark dives are offshore with early starts.
