About this dive site

Classic Visayas muck diving minutes from Dumaguete.

Dauin's black sand hosts frogfish, seahorses, blue-ring octopus and ornate ghost pipefish on guided macro sweeps. Nearby Apo Island adds turtle-filled walls on the same trip. Slow fin kicks and a good spotter guide matter more than camera megapixels.

Go slow, stay off the bottom, and follow a local macro guide - silt and fin kicks ruin shots and habitats. Calendar peak is November - May, but skippers still move sites when wind, swell or current change. Book with a crew that knows Dauin day to day, not just the map pin.
