About this dive site

Arabian Sea reserve with turtles and seasonal whale sharks.

The Daymaniyat Islands off Muscat protect hard-coral reefs, leopard sharks and hawksbill turtles on day boats with park permits. Whale sharks occasionally filter near the islands in plankton season. Winter seas are calmest; summer heat demands early starts and hydration.

Whale-shark trips follow plankton and monsoon patterns; local crews pick the site - not the brochure. Calendar peak is September - May, but skippers still move sites when wind, swell or current change. Book with a crew that knows Daymaniyat Islands day to day, not just the map pin.
