About this dive site
Crystal visibility, limestone chasms, spinner dolphins and seasonal humpbacks offshore.
Niue is a raised coral limestone island with some of the Pacific’s clearest water. Alofi Bay and nearby sites combine shallow coral gardens with crevices, caves and drop-offs accessible by boat or shore entry where conditions allow. Spinner dolphins often ride bow waves; in whale season humpbacks may be heard or seen from the boat under strict distance rules-enter the water with whales only when permitted by local law and your operator. Current and surge on the exposed coast demand good skills and local guidance.
Most trips target May - October, but wind, swell and current still decide the day's site. Calendar peak is May - October, but skippers still move sites when wind, swell or current change. Book with a crew that knows Niue day to day, not just the map pin.
