About this dive site

Year-round manta culture on a quiet Micronesian island.

Yap's channels and cleaning stations host reef mantas that return predictably when divers follow local etiquette, stay low, avoid the station, no chasing. Macro reefs, mandarinfish dives and WWII history on land fill rest days. It is one of the Pacific's most respectful manta destinations.

Manta cleaning stations need calm positioning - let your guide set the line and keep a respectful distance. Calendar peak is December - April, but skippers still move sites when wind, swell or current change. Book with a crew that knows Yap day to day, not just the map pin.
