About this dive site

The world's greatest concentration of WWII wreck dives.

Chuuk Lagoon holds an entire Japanese fleet sunk in Operation Hailstone, now draped in soft corals and fish. The Fujikawa Maru is a favourite first wreck with holds, guns and a photogenic bow. Warm water and sheltered lagoon conditions make multi-wreck weeks approachable with proper briefing.

Match wreck depth - and any penetration - to your training; many famous wrecks are enjoyed from the outside only. Calendar peak is December - April, but skippers still move sites when wind, swell or current change. Book with a crew that knows Chuuk Lagoon day to day, not just the map pin.
