About this dive site
Remote fly-and-dive village on Mexico's southern Caribbean border.
Xcalak is a low-key fishing village facing Belize with patch reef, walls and occasional manatee habitat in seagrass. Access is by long drive from Chetumal or short hops from Mahahual when weather allows. Expect fewer boats and more macro and turtle encounters than north Riviera resorts.
Xcalak is remote - plan drive time from Chetumal or a stay in the village; manatee encounters are possible but never guaranteed in seagrass beds.
