About this dive site
Mesoamerican Reef dives south of Playa del Carmen with fewer crowds.
Tulum reef dives reach the barrier east of the coast where the wall drops into deep water above white sand. Current varies; boats run from Tulum and Akumal areas for turtles, eagle rays and healthy hard coral. Combine with cenote days on the same trip.
Tulum barrier dives are often quieter than Cancún hotel-zone traffic; combine reef days with cenote trips on the same Riviera stay.
