About this dive site
Cozumel's signature coral cathedrals and swim-throughs on the south-west wall.
Palancar Reef is the classic Cozumel drift with towering coral formations, caves and deep blue drop-offs on the island's leeward side. Turtles and eagle rays are common while current carries divers along the wall. Most boats run it as a two-tank with Santa Rosa or Colombia when conditions allow.
Palancar is a classic Cozumel drift; dry-season mornings usually bring the clearest water and mildest current on the leeward wall.
