Cathedral light beams in a deep sinkhole north of Tulum.
El Pit is an advanced cenote dive famous for sun pillars through hydrogen-sulphide clouds and a dramatic column of light. Depth and gas planning are serious; most operators require recent cavern or tech experience. Not interchangeable with shallow Gran Cenote or Angelita profiles.
El Pit is a deep-profile cenote for experienced divers only; gas, depth and guide credentials are non-negotiable.
