About this dive site
Purpose-sunk Mexican navy ship off Cozumel with coral growth and fish life.
The C-53 Felipe Xicotencatl lies upright off Cozumel as an artificial reef popular with advanced divers. Penetration requires proper training; many visits are exterior tours with barracuda and angelfish on the hull. Current can add to the dive plan.
The C-53 is an exterior wreck for most visitors; penetration needs proper wreck training and a local guide who knows the hull.
