About this dive site

Macro paradise beside Sipadan with flamboyant cuttlefish and seahorses.

Mabul Island’s fringing rubble is a muck mecca-blue-ringed octopus, frogfish and ornate ghost pipefish on day boats from Semporna. Divers pair macro mornings with afternoon walls at Kapalai or permit days on Sipadan.

Go slow, stay off the bottom, and follow a local macro guide - silt and fin kicks ruin shots and habitats. Calendar peak is March - October, but skippers still move sites when wind, swell or current change. Book with a crew that knows Mabul day to day, not just the map pin.
