Belitung off Sumatra's east coast offers granite-boulder reefs, swim-throughs and calm Java Sea visibility on domestic flights from Jakarta. Less crowded than Bali with emerging resort and liveaboard routes.
Belitung needs Jakarta or Pangkal Pinang flights; monsoon swell shuts some granite sites.
