About this dive site

Tiputa Pass, dolphins, sharks and tidal blue-water drama.

Tiputa Pass links Rangiroa’s vast lagoon to the Pacific, producing shark-filled drifts and playful bottlenose dolphins on flood and ebb. Grey reef sharks stack in the flow while eagle rays and tuna flash through open water. Dive timing follows the tide table, local skippers know the window.

Most trips target January - December, but wind, swell and current still decide the day's site. Calendar peak is January - December, but skippers still move sites when wind, swell or current change. Book with a crew that knows Rangiroa day to day, not just the map pin.
