About this dive site
A lonely Red Sea lighthouse reef with hammerhead potential.
Daedalus Reef carries a lighthouse on its rim and sheer walls below visited mainly by liveaboards from Marsa Alam or Hurghada. Anthias clouds, soft corals and grey reef sharks are everyday; scalloped hammerheads sometimes appear on dawn dives. Remote location means exposed seas and advanced planning.
Shore sites reward repeat dives at the same entry marker; check swell, surf and exit points before you kit up. Calendar peak is March - November, but skippers still move sites when wind, swell or current change. Book with a crew that knows Daedalus Reef day to day, not just the map pin.
