About this dive site
Galápagos hammerheads on a remote, current-charged pinnacle.
Darwin Island’s submerged arch and nearby pillars sit in far-northern waters where scalloped hammerheads often stream in hundreds on strong flows. Galápagos sharks, dolphins and occasional whale sharks share the blue. Liveaboard access, cold thermoclines and serious current make this an expedition for seasoned divers.
Open-water and liveaboard schedules hinge on swell and current - expect early starts and flexible routing. Calendar peak is June - November, but skippers still move sites when wind, swell or current change. Book with a crew that knows Darwin day to day, not just the map pin.
