About this dive site

A shallow Mediterranean shore dive with turtles, seagrass and submerged statues.

Green Bay is a popular walk-in dive near Protaras, with a shallow route over rock, sand and seagrass. Replicas of classical statues sit around ten metres down and give divers an unusual landmark. Green turtles may pass through, but sightings are not guaranteed. Select an entry and exit for the day’s weather with a local guide, keep fins clear of the seabed and observe turtles without feeding, following or touching them.

Shore sites reward repeat dives at the same entry marker; check swell, surf and exit points before you kit up. Calendar peak is January - December, but skippers still move sites when wind, swell or current change. Book with a crew that knows Protaras day to day, not just the map pin.
