About this dive site
A famous Adriatic cavern with light beams and clear blue water.
The Cathedral on Premuda island is one of the Adriatic’s best-known cavern dives, reached by boat from Zadar or nearby islands. Sunlight enters through ceiling openings, lighting a large chamber above the reef. Proper buoyancy, gas planning and cavern training are expected; this is not an open-water novelty dive. Mediterranean visibility varies with weather and plankton. Go with a local guide who knows entry orientation, depth limits and boat traffic. Protect the chamber: no touching, no souvenirs, and fin kicks away from the ceiling.
Most trips target May - October, but wind, swell and current still decide the day's site. Calendar peak is May - October, but skippers still move sites when wind, swell or current change. Book with a crew that knows Premuda day to day, not just the map pin.
