About this dive site

Belize's famous shallow stop where nurse sharks and rays gather for snacks.

A sandy channel inside Hol Chan Marine Reserve where licensed guides introduce divers and snorkellers to tame nurse sharks and southern stingrays over seagrass. Visibility is usually excellent in the dry season; currents are mild but crowds peak mid-morning, so early boats get the clearest water.

Shark-Ray Alley sits inside Hol Chan rules: go with a licensed guide, expect other boats mid-morning, and treat shark and ray encounters as habituated wildlife, not a petting zoo. Calm, clear mornings beat windy afternoons for photos and visibility.
