Northern charted canyons near Punta Azul on the Bacalar track.
Punta Azul Canyons lies on the outer reef north of San Pedro where sand grooves cut through coral ridges toward the Belize–Mexico border. Large groupers and reef sharks patrol the walls when a modest current runs. Reserve fees and weather gates apply on the same boats that serve Bacalar Chico.
