About this dive site
Charted canyons off Punta Arena between Mata and Pescador moorings.
Punta Arena Canyons follows the sand-groove topography east of San Pedro where coral fingers meet white sand. Horse-eye jacks and snappers school in the cuts while nurse sharks rest on the bottom. Local boats use it when Pescador or Paradise schedules are full.
Punta Arena Canyons fills in when Pescador or Paradise boats are full; morning visibility is usually best.
