About this dive site

Lighthouse Reef wall dives beyond Belize’s famous blue hole.

Half Moon Caye Natural Monument offers steep outer walls, turtle cleaning stations and coral gardens at the southeast edge of Lighthouse Reef. Red-footed boobies nest above while groupers and eagle rays cruise below. Boat day trips from liveaboards or mainland lodges pick profiles for the group’s experience.

Wall and drift dives need a tide- or current-aware briefing; the same site can feel gentle or brisk on another day. Calendar peak is January - December, but skippers still move sites when wind, swell or current change. Book with a crew that knows Half Moon Caye Wall day to day, not just the map pin.
