About this dive site

Laid-back island reserve with split-channel snorkels and reef dives.

The Caye Caulker Marine Reserve protects reef and seagrass south of Ambergris Caye. The famous Split and nearby South Channel offer shallow encounters with rays, nurse sharks and manatees in season, while outer moorings reach spur-and-groove reef with turtles and eagle rays on calm days.

Caye Caulker splits shallow Split-channel snorkels from outer reef moorings; manatees feed in seagrass seasonally and are never guaranteed. Follow guide distance rules for sharks, rays and any manatee encounter.
