Southern inner reef near Boca Chica lagoon outlet on Ambergris charts.
Boca Chica Canyon sits on the southern barrier reef tract where lagoon outflow meets spur-and-groove coral. Nurse sharks and rays use nearby sand while reef fish stack on the coral fingers. It is a quieter alternative when northern moorings are crowded.
Boca Chica sits on the southern reef near lagoon outflow; quieter than Hol Chan but still needs a licensed operator.
